Criteria of what we should say from the holy Quran

As we all know Imam Hussein (a.s) in many parts, on the day of Ashura spoke to his enemies, tried to advice them and stop them from doing what they did.

speaking and talking is part of our daily routine, time to time we talk to different people, let us learn from the Quran and act upon it so that what we say can be helpful and avoid what can be reflected on our results on the day of judgment.

1- Never speak of what you don't know: وَلَا تَقْفُ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلْم Do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge. 17:36.

2- Speak with proof: وَقُولُوا قَوْلًا سَدِيدًا and speak upright words. 33:70.

3- be fair when it comes to your words: وَإِذَا قُلْتُمْ فَاعْدِلُوا ‘And when you speak, be fair, 6:152.

4- Choose kind words: وَ قُولُوا لِلنَّاسِ حُسْناً؛ speak kindly to people, 2:83

5- Do not use your words to lie: وَلَا تَقُولُوا لِمَا تَصِفُ أَلْسِنَتُكُمُ الْكَذِبَ Do not say, asserting falsely with your tongues, 16:116

6- Choose best when you speak: وَقُل لِّعِبَادِي يَقُولُوا الَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ And tell My servants to say that which is best. 17:53.

7- Make sure your words and actions are one: كَبُرَ مَقْتًا عِندَ اللَّـهِ أَن تَقُولُوا مَا لَا تَفْعَلُونَ It is greatly outrageous to Allah that you should say what you do not do. 61:3. The above are some of the ways of how and what to say, speak and tell from the holy Quran. May Allah give us the power to follow the holy Quran in all of our actions.
